Overview
The Act authorizes the Minister of Transport to pass ministerial regulations related to measures or practices that help prevent ship collision, e.g. steering and sailing, lights and buoyage, sound and light signals, technical details for lights and buoyage, additional signals for fishing vessels operated in close proximity and technical details for transmitters of sound signals or distress signals. Failure to comply with such rules or practices by any vessel operated either in Thai or international waters entails civil and criminal liability.
